Missionary in Residence
Wayne worked as a Systems Administrator for an Aerospace and Defense contractor in Huntsville, Alabama before switching to full-time mission work in 2016. He and his wife, Kristi, had done short time medical mission work in Lima, Peru before marriage. They have four children, Spencer, Connor, Gavin, and Piper. Between 2012 and 2016, while raising support for full-time work, he and his wife Kristi made short visits to and taught on the islands of Palau, Pohnpei and Chuuk. Soon after completing his Masters of Ministry in Biblical Studies at Heritage University, his family moved to the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia. Over the last six years, the Parkers have worked with multiple islands in Micronesia, including Guam, Pohnpei, Kosrae, and Chuuk. The Parkers are now beginning a work in Cyprus. Our survey trip was conducted in November of 2023. He is happy to be serving as the Missionary-in-Residence for the 2023/2024 school year.
